Unit 9: Teambuilding in Business. Resources for BTEC Business Studies

Bruce Tuckman was a psychological researcher who investigated group dynamics. He observed that teams take a while to reach their optimum performance as they pass through four stages. Team leaders can encourage these stages to shorten the time taken. The stages are

1. forming,

2. storming,

3. norming

4. performing.
