C2 CSR and Ethics

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a set of self-regulated activities that a business embarks on to be more socially accountable for their actions. CSR may include reducing the impact of production on the environment and ensuring they are using ethical labour practices. Companies may also fund environmental, educational and healthcare projects to benefit wider communities.

Corporate social responsibility can improve brand image due to consumers wishing to make more ethical choices, increase investment from ethically minded shareholders and attract more staff who are motivated by working for a firm with good moral values.
