C2 Changing Brand Perceptions

Unit 28: Branding

Re-branding is the process of creating a new brand identity with the intention of changing the corporate image in the minds of the consumer. This may involves changing the brand personality, overhauling the brand personality and targeting a new market. This in turn would require new imagery to support the new brand.

Brand refreshing is the process of improving the imagery of the brand while maintaining its core identity. This may include modernising features such as the logo, symbols, taglines, imagery, colour schemes and names. Brand refreshing prevents the brand from appearing outdated.
