The Chosen Event Idea (Unit 4 P4)

Some suggestions for events you can plan include

  • Fundraising events in school,

  • Meetings, assemblies,

  • Teacher v student quizzes,

  • Sports tournaments.

  • Events at the school fair, e.g. dunk the teacher

  • Events using outside agencies, e.g. visiting speaker, blood collection drive, etc

A feasibility study will help determine the likelihood of the success of the event. By proactively identifying strengths of the proposed event and potential issues with it, an events organiser may be able to better meet the needs of the client.

In the early stages of an event planning process, a mind map can be used to record ideas from a range of people involved. The structure supports the development of one idea from another and it is easy to interpret when presenting ideas to the client.
